PHNOM PENH, Cambodia – On 26 June 2026, the Project Advisory Committee (PAC) of the ILO Better Factories Cambodia (BFC) programme held its 59th meeting. The BFC PAC consists of representatives from the Royal Government of Cambodia (the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training and the Ministry of Commerce), sectoral employers’ associations (represented by three associations in Cambodia) and workers (representatives from different trade union confederations and federations, met in person to reaffirm their commitment in jointly supporting the implementation of BFC’s five-year strategy and increased collaboration and joint implementation, while laying a strong foundation for the programme’s next phase, to sustain and build on the positive impact achieved in improving working conditions in Cambodia’s garment, footwear and travel goods (GFT) sector.

Members emphasized the importance of continued collaboration to strengthening through industrial relations, advancing gender equality, occupational safety and health, digital wages and financial inclusion, while continuing to innovate BFC factory engagement approach were highlighted as key priorities.
