Moyette Gibbons is the Better Work Communications Officer (covering parental leave) based in Geneva. She manages internal and external communications for the programme, including Better Work’s relationship with international and national media, global constituents, and liaising on communications with parent organizations, ILO and IFC.
Prior to joining Better Work in January 2024, Moyette worked as an editor, journalist, and communications specialist, focusing on global development. She has worked for the ILO, Bloomberg News, the Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE), NGOs, the BBC, and as an Eastern Europe correspondent. She is the Communications Director at Black Girl Writers, a mentorship programme linking Black women who write with industry professionals.
Moyette holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Queens University of Charlotte in North Carolina, a Postgraduate Diploma in Magazine Journalism from City, London University, and a degree in Literature and History.
