Francesca Biasiato is the Technical Officer on Gender and Diversity Inclusion, based in the ILO Regional Office in Bangkok. She supports the implementation of the Better Work Global Strategy on Gender and Diversity Inclusion by providing technical support to Country Programmes, as well as technical clusters at the global level, harmonizing and streamlining approaches, tools and methodologies, facilitating learning and sharing of information and resources among country gender focal persons, and promoting gender-responsive and inclusive practices across Better Work operations.
Before joining Better Work, Francesca worked on gender issues for nearly 15 years – as a consultant for NGOs and UN agencies – and as programme officer on gender equality and diversity inclusion for the International Training Centre of the ILO. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Essex and a master’s in Gender Studies from the University of Milan.
