Better Work is developing practical tools to help enterprises improve their labour practices and economic performance. Some of these tools are:

• the global portal;
  
• a self assessment tool;
  
• training programmes;
  
• model human resource policies and procedures and good practice guides;
  
• workbooks for mini-projects to address common problems, targeted to small and medium size enterprises;
  
• awareness raising for workers on rights and responsibilities using innovative techniques such as soap operas and comic books; and
  
• STAR information system.
